Through my images I am showing who I am. My first image over my selfie is my favorite painting in my house, the painting depicts a jazz band and a singer shown everywhere throughout the painting hidden by colorful piano keys. I have always loved this painting and I cannot remember a time when it wasn’t the main part of one of the rooms in my home. My next image is of a painting of Jonathan Toews, a Chicago Blackhawk, holding the Stanley Cup. This picture was taken and painted in 2013 when the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup. The Chicago Blackhawks are a team that everyone in my family loves. Some of my fondest memories are at parties for watching the hockey games or at the hockey games, and so this painting represents something very important to me. My last photo is my tennis racket, I love the sport not only because it’s a fun way to be active and compete but also it’s something that I do with my family and friends.

Throughout my photography class I have learned a lot about beautifying images that I take. My double exposure is a lot more simple and more well- proportioned than my selfie collage. I think that over the course of this class I have learned how to position my images on top of each other. Different from my first collage, you can actually tell that it is me in my double exposure. I also learned that not all the elements need to be completely shown in my images when I am putting them on top of each other.
The picture that I chose to lay over my second selfie is a picture of Lake Charlevoix. My lake house is on Lake Charlevoix and I love it there. I really liked the way you could see the rocks, the water, the clouds and the a little bit of trees in my image. I also really like the way the blue in the water brings out the blue in my eyes. |
